Key models for drug development of osteoarthritis
Degenerative osteoarthropathy, also known as osteoarthritis, degenerative arthritis, senile arthritis, hypertrophic arthritis, is a kind of degenerative lesion, caused by ageing, obesity, strain, trauma, congenital anomalies of joints, joint deformities and other factors, such as degeneration of articular cartilage damage, joint edges and subchondral bone reactive hyperplasia. Clinical manifestations include slowly developing joint pain, tenderness, stiffness, joint swelling, limited movement and joint deformity.
We have established stable multiple models of osteoarthritis, which are suitable for the study of drugs for preclinical osteoarthritis and the evaluation of new drugs.
