Key Model for Drug Development of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a common chronic disease characterized by airflow obstruction with chronic bronchitis and/or emphysema, which can further progress to pulmonary heart disease and respiratory failure. It is associated with an abnormal inflammatory response to noxious gases and harmful particles, with high rates of disability and mortality.
We have established a stable smoking+lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced COPD model, which is suitable for preclinical COPD drug research and new drug evaluation.
