Joint fibrosis
Excessive scar tissue proliferation within or around a joint causes adhesion and contraction, restricting range of motion and inducing pain. Common in the knee, shoulder (frozen shoulder), hip, etc., often associated with trauma, postoperative immobilization, or inflammation.
