Key model of chronic asthma model drug development
Asthma is a chronic airway inflammatory disease characterized by variable airflow obstruction, airway hyperresponsiveness (AHR), and airway inflammation. The main clinical symptoms of asthma are shortness of breath, wheezing, coughing, and increased mucus secretion after exposure to allergens. The pathogenesis of asthma is caused by the complex interaction between genetic, epigenetic and environmental factors.
The classic mouse asthma model is ovalbumin-induced airway inflammation. Mice were sensitized by multiple intraperitoneal injections of ovalbumin, and then excited after inhaling ovalbumin by aerosol.
The Asthma Research Team of KCI has established a stable OVA disease model, hoping to provide you with efficient preclinical pharmacodynamics services.
